This is an unusual 14 inch Fusee dial clock by / signed 'Wm. Nicholas - London' Circa ~1850.
A quality, nicely finished cable driven 8 day fusee movement with passing hour (single) bell strike, shaped plates and pendulum.
Mahogany case 3 doors, narrow surround, convex dial, and bold hands in brass.
I believe all components are original to each other. Original finish. The dial has been repainted some time ago, the makers name also appearing on the reverse of the dial from when originally painted; no lifting or chipping paint. There is no bezel to the surround.
Serviced and runs well.
Super condition high grade single fusee dial clock by 'Barraud & Lund - 41 Cornhill, London' Circa 1870.

Serviced and runs well.
A fine 1/4 hour repeating Vienna regulator in rosewood, the dial signed J. Tigeman, Budapest
Complete, mechanically operational, but needs cleaning etc. Pivots and steelwork very good and have been kept oiled, no corrosion where it matters! Strikes and ticks appropriately but requires a service.
Original polished finish. No major case issues beyond the one broken door carving as shown. Original glass. No bubbling veneer issues. Dial excellent with the exception of a minor chip on hand shaft hole.
16 inches wide x 47 inch length.

This is an awesome Durham hoop and spike clock. These types of clocks come up from time to time but these are usually 30 hour time/alarms; this rare example is a fully striking 8 day / alarm. As I understand it John Cruddas was of the known Durham clockmaker family in the area and died in ~1870.
Just overhauled and serviced. Runs and operates as it should. Original sheet brass integral case. Strikes and alarms on independent bells / pitch. 8.5 inch dial.
There is an almost identical example in appearance by Whitehurst of Derby currently on Atlas Antiques for £1450; but a 30 hour time only alarm.
